I have been tagged by my friend Staci to share 6 quirky things about myself. This should be fun, do you really want to know this much about me?
1)I constantly keep a beat with my back teeth......weird huh! My older brother does it too. I think it saves us from bordom!
2) My favorite passtime is exercise.
3) I am probably the opposite of a germ a phobe, although I hate having a messy dirty house. I think that makes me a clean a phobe.
4) I can gleek farther than most anyone!
5) I'm not good at letting my real feelings show. I always put on a facade that everything is peachy, cover everything up with a smile! Most of the time it works in keeping me happy, so I guess it's worth it.
6) I tend to get wrapped up in my own family enough that I might seem anti social! I'm not really though!
Okay now I tag six people...
1. Karie Coats
2.Kari Belcher
3.Becca
4. Robyn
5. Kim Carty
6. Debbie

2008 Shotwell Family Camp
I can hardly believe that this years family camp out has come and gone! This year our camp out/reunion was held on Cedar Mt. near Panguitch Lake. "Horse Valley" is owned by Lance's brother Matt's, wife's family. They were kind enough to let us take up our own little corner of the mountain away from other campers! It was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet.........aside from a few motor bikes and four wheelers every now and then! We had a great time and totally enjoyed being together as a family where bonds can be strengthened! Some of this years highlights for me were: making snow boarding hats for all the kids! When we got up there I noticed all the "moms" working on afgahns. I came unprepared so I gathered what left over yarn I could and started making hats! It started off as an experiment and then ended in success! I hope all the kids liked thier hats as much as I liked making them! The long ATV ride to the Burger Barn/Panguitch Lake Store was also very fun! It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed a treat of ice cream when we got there! Dale and Deloris' cabin was a big highlight! I am hoping to get some pictures to post from Brooklynn! It was a cute little rustic cabin with a tin roof and matching out house! Built in the 1800's and later moved up the road a piece (according to Dale) where it's sits now nestled in the hills just the right spot to keep an eye on the sheep! Casey got caught in a rain storm and was fortunate enough to weather out the storm being warmed by the fire, he was lucky that Dale and Deloris are hospitable enough to leave the cabin open for just such a situation! Playing the "Name" game around the fire was great fun! The kids and adults all enjoyed trying to stump one another in this fun game! On the last night of camp Riley, Brookie and our kids hung out in our trailer and we played Phase 10! That was definately a great time! I hope to be able to get the "face shake" pictures from Brookie! What a great time! Thanks to all you Shotwell's, Farnsworth's and Hunt's who made this year's camp out a great success! It was so fun to be with all of you and we will wait impatiently for next year! At least we have some fun stuff coming up this year still!!! See you all at Colton's wedding!

What? Still no pictures???
The bad news is, I still don't have any new pictures to share with you! But the GOOD news is.........I was able to find a place that sold the cd's that my camera uses, thus making it usable once again! YEAH! So I just got the disks in the mail this week and I can't wait to start taking pictures again! I just have to figure out how to transfer the pictures from camera to computer without finalizing the disk and cancelling it's potential to hold up to 100 some odd pictures! I'll figure it out! So watch in the near future for fun pictures! Last weeks excitement includes........ Wednesday Jaycie and Skyler and I went to our Young Men's/Young Women's activity. Ky had a dance workshop so she missed out. It was fun! They did an olympics competition (silly olympics)! They had blind folded cotton ball pass, Whip Cream Whistling, Marshmallow launch (yes, out your nose!)! The other one I can't remember what they called it, but they had you put on a beenie, covering your eyes with it. Then they wrapped duct tape backwards (sticky side out) around the beenie! They threw forks on the floor and you had to see how many you could get stuck to your head! It was hillarious, and if I could figure out how to transfer pictures from my phone to here, I would share some fun video clips as well as a picture of the whip cream fight that Sky and Jaycie got in! Friday night Lance, Mom and I went to Mama Mia the movie! I LOVED it! First I have to admit that I'm not a huge movie critic, I love everything but I reallly enjoyed this movie! If I were to get critical maybe I would say that Pierce Brosnan was not the BEST singer in the movie, but I still loved him! Meryl Streep was fun and energetic and after 30 years of having The Sound of Music at the top of my movie list..........Mama Mia takes it! The main part that stole my heart and moved it to the top of the list was when they sang "I do, I do" I remember being little girl about the age of 3 and LOVING this song. My daddy sang it to me, my grandma sang it to me and they loved to get me to sing it to them! I have a fond memory of driving over the Winona bridge on our way home to Wisconsin........standing next to my dad (before seatbelt laws) in the front seat of the car singing the song with him! Go check out the movie and let me know what you thought! I am hoping to catch the show in Vegas for our anniversary! I'll keep my fingers crossed! Saturday we took Ky and Sky up to the Shotwell Family Reunion which is being held on Cedar Mt. this year, at Horse Valley! We spent the day hanging out with family and playing Hillbilly Horseshoes. If you haven't played it, you ought to try it! Hillbilly horseshoes is played with 2 teams of two and you throw golf balls on a string to the opposite bolas (bolos) which is a 3 foot tall pvc structure with 3 horizontal pipes that you try to get the ball to wrap around. It's hours of fun! BTW, I pulled those instructions off of a website, those weren't my own words! LOL! We also are looking to make a "Cornhole" game which is a bean bag toss game. Fun stuff! I admit that I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures. We are going up on Wednesday to camp for the rest of the week. It's killing all of us to be home and not be with the rest of the family, but we're trying to be responsible and make some money, you know........pay some bills etc.... Nobody ever said it would be fun to be an adult! Jaxyn woke up this morning and said "are we going camping?" I regretfully had to tell him that we were not going camping but to church! Needless to say he wasn't too excited about that idea! We got through the day and are counting down the days til we get back to the Mt! My mom was able to come with us for the day and it was great! Thanks for coming mom! Today was a great Sunday too! We had the Carty's over for Brats and Sauerkraut! Yummy! Kim made some super yummy homemade chips and pico de gallo and also some bean salsa! Mom came over for a few hours and we played Xinchec (sp?) which is a fun card game kind of like Phase 10! It was great fun, and then I took a nap for a couple hours! That pretty much sums it up! It's been a fun week but next week will be even more fun! I will take lots of pictures! Yeah! Have a great week, enjoy your 24th of July.........those of you who get the holiday!! Grateful to live in Utah! LOL!

Another Week!
Okay, so it was a pretty ho hum week! Our company went home, so it is back to normal around the Shotwell house! I don't have any fun pictures to document such excitement!!!! Jaycie is working hard at soccer practice and we are looking forward to a fun filled season! She injured her shoulder at soccer camp, got in a bit of a tangle with the goalie while trying to shoot a goal! Comes with the territory I suppose! At any rate, we have been doctoring her all week and are seeing some really good progress! Kylie has been working hard going to a dance workshop and taking some private lessons as well. She just found out that she made Turning Point which is the dance team that she has been working towards for a couple of years now! Congrats Kylie!!! As mentioned before Skyler was ordained a deacon last Sunday! He passed sacrament for the first time today! It was pretty neat, and is it okay to say it made me proud? Is that the emotion I felt! Anyway, it was awesome! Miss Brynklie is already talking about her birthday in September! She is forever the planner! She has busied herself this week with making pictures for her cousin Patrick...........who is her favorite! She misses him terribly already! Jaxyn is just keeping us all as busy as ever, but didn't get in any trouble to speak of this past week! Thank heavens! I had an uncle on my mother's side pass away from cancer this past week. He is her first sibling to pass on. We will miss Uncle Eugene but are happy for him to move on to the next adventure and be rid of the pain that has held him the past year. Our prayers remain to be with his wife Fran and children Rodney and Robin. May they have peace and comfort at the passing of thier loved one. As for the rest of you...........hope the coming week is great! We will start to plan for our Shotwell Family Camp Out on the 24th! It's always a fun time and we look forward to it! We are going to Horse Valley this year, a new adventure! We are excited, but sad that we are unable to accompany the whole family for the entire week! We'll take what we can get though! Talk to you soon!
