Happy 16th Birthday John Jr!

Happy Birthday to my favorite 16 year old nephew!

John Carty Jr!

Jaycie and John are the same age, and have always

been so close! It's nice to know he's out there looking out

for her! The second best thing to having a big brother!

John is an amazing kid! Not only does he have a strong testimony of the gospel and is

a great example to all, he is an AMAZING football player! He holds the squat record for SCHS

and he is only a sophomore. Weighs in around 215 and is 6'.....all muscle!

Keep an eye out in a few years!! He'll be someone famous!!!

I'm sure I've told you that I LOVE to watch my kids perform.

Whether they are playing ball, singing, or dancing!

I get that great feeling of pride and get a tear in my eye!

Being a mom is amazing!

with Grandma Sandy!First they went to the Playplace....

I could write a whole spot on prom hair nightmare!

I've never felt so inadequate as a mom in my life....

okay, maybe! But I've always thought I could do a pretty good job of hair.

Not this day! I couldn't get anything to work for my sweet daughter! She was being so patient too! So a half hour before her date was going to pick her up, we called our good friend Nicole!!!

She saved the day!

Day Date

Tyler came to get Jaycie for their day date at 9:30 am

Saturday morning!

He took her sledding!

She loved it and had tons of fun!

27 Dresses?

Actually only 18!

This past week Jaycie and her dad went up to Provo to buy her first prom dress! What a great dad! She was really in luck, because not only did she end up with one, but she got two! She tried on 18 dresses, she was shooting for 27........but got tired! Here are a few of the

dresses she tried on.I'm not going to tell you which ones she got.....

I'm grateful for a daughter who insists on wearing

only modest dresses! She's awesome!

Jaxyn gets a hair cut

Not that getting a hair cut is anything new to Jaxyn man, but he doesn't get

blogged very often! Grandma came over on Saturday to give him a hair cut...

He is always such a good boy and sits so still!

And he has to make a funny face for the camera!

What a silly!

Daddy Daughter Date

Wednesday night for YW they had a Daddy Daughter Date!

It looks like it was a lot of fun!

Jaycie finishes her first afghan!

Jaycie finished her first Afghan this past week. It's a Weekend Afghan.....it took a little longer than a weekend to finish. Mine always do too! I'm proud of her! Good job Jaycie!

It's a good feeling to finish!

My GORGEOUS Daughters!!!

Okay, I have to brag! I have the MOST gorgeous daughters! The really GREAT thing is that not only are they beautiful on the outside but so absolutely beautiful on the inside as well. Finally!! Some pictures!

Blogging injuries has become one of my favorite subjects!I have to thank Lance this week for giving me the opportunity to blog his injury!

I wasn't very on the ball though, I should have taken the

picture earlier in the week....

he heals very quickly! So, everyone knows that Lance is a contractor, and has been known to fight with his

tools from time to time. This time, he got in a fight with his nail gun.

He shot the nail gun, it ricocheted off a metal truss hanger and hit him in the forehead.

Reaching up, he realized the nail was still stuck into his head!

Head wounds bleed, immensely!

When he pulled out the nail, there was a steady stream of blood coming from the wound.

Luckily he is fine now, and we all get a chuckle to hear him tell the story!

For the Super Bowl this year we headed to the Carty's house! It was a really fun game to watch, and we all enjoyed cheering for the Cardinals......all except Tyler! We were sad to see them

lose in the end, but wow, what a game! It truly was a SUPER bowl!

Junior Prom Update......


Jaycie finally answers Tyler!

She always does something with newspaper, you would think that she

has an unlimited supply or something!

Poor Tyler had to sift through all of this shredded newspaper to find

two film bottles that contained his answer! I have great sympathy for the time that it must have taken to clean this mess up.

Just the little bit of shredded paper that got left at our house wasn't fun!
